Fortunately for me, rather than despair of my camera obsession, my wife positively encourages it. The proof of this is that for a recent birthday she arranged along with my parents to surprise me with a Hasselblad Xpan camera. And what a surprise it was!
I'd had my eye on getting one for a while but they are few and far between, and as a result can be a bit pricey. It was introduced in 1998 and was sold out by 2004, and I assume due to the rise of digital photography around the same time there was no demand for them to produce any more.
So far I've stuck 5 rolls of film through it. Colour negative film, slide film, straight processed and cross processed, and I have to say I love it. I have other panoramic cameras but this is on another level. As you'd expect with a Hasselblad the build quality is exceptional and the the titanium and aluminium body has a nice weight to it. Most importantly though, it takes cracking pictures!
